I've abondoned powered speakers in favor of a reciever / mid-fi speakers. It sounds a LOT better than my former Cambridge Soundworks speakers: more power, more clarity, PLUS the reciever allows a real CD player and FM radio into the mix. The system also pushes headphones way better than a PC.Turtle Beach 20 bit card & Toshiba 3950 >> Yamaha 595 receiver >> Polk rt25i speakers
