Hi Chip647, thanks. I haven't opened my Jade, but I guess the cracked solder is on the other side (top side) of the board. Thats what happened a few years ago. The repair shop said they couldnt fix it, but I asked them to dissasemble (wasnt so hard) and take a look at the top side. There, the problem was easy to find, and fix. Thanks also for your suggestion to replace the caps and use Mills wirewounds instead of metal oxide resistors. I see if I can find someone to do it (living in Oslo, Norway). I'm not so steady with the solder iron. Are you happy with the sound of your unit?
