"C" weighted "peak" is what I used in my situation.In regards to the 300B's I liked the sound so much I sold the 92db speakers. What I meant is the amps pooped out (audible clipping) on peaks below my prefered loud 96-98 level. The speakers where Coincident Super Eclipse with a minimum 10 ohm SET designed to be friendly impedence. My room is around 2800 cubic feet and pretty dead. I moved the speakers closer to me to try and overcome the problem, and ended up with them 8 feet away. I recommend a higher sensitivity speaker than 92db anyway.. with SETs it's the first watt that has most of the magic, I found that out when I went to a much more sensitive system!
