i can hear the differences.
hope more can come forward and share. just to level the playing field and see if this is actually useful. i went to youtube to compare different speakers that i know reasonably well. interestingly enough, despite the limitations of my pc speakers, the flaws and strengths of the speakers i know will were all reproduced (including the sub-optimal reproduction delivered by bad setup )
in no particular order : vandersteen 5c. quad57, irsV, duntech sovereign, dunlavy iv. altec a5, duntech crown princess, pipedreams, soundlabs
the 30 minutes validated what my musical biases. needless to say, horns --speakers that are hardest to get right.. were my favourite.
