Lots of people. You can get some less expensive versions at parts express.My feeling is why not buy the Original from ESS? Imitations are not necessarily an improvement or cheapers.
ESS in California have 3 versions now, from about $319 on down.
I own 6 of the originals myself. It's tough to find a better tweeter that goes down to 1 Khz, or even 800 with a high slope network, active or passive.
