Cost differenctial - not withstanding, using deductive reasoning - cheaper units GENERALLY will sound worse then the more expensive counterparts - in any type of equipment. History has proven that statement correct!
Furthermore - I base my opinions more on "living" with the unit over a period of time - instead of your suggestion of DBT.
