I am wondering under what circumstances you envisage using this portable media player. If it is in typical situations for such a player e.g. commuting or other travel, in an office or other place of work etc. then neither headphone is suitable.

Both are open backed which means that everyone around will hear your music and you will hear everyone around. They are also rather large for portable use.

Perhaps you could give us some further insight into how you will use the player and what sort of music you will typically be playing? I ask the latter as these two phones have their own characteristics and there may be a third Sennheiser model worth considering.
