I have a pair of the Pollinator, and I've enjoyed them quite a bit. I am using them with an amp built from the boards also offered by the Nectar manufacturer.

As these are my first and only electrostatic headphones, I can't really offer any comparisons to other E-stat makes/models. I do like them, though. My baseline is a pair of tried and true Sennheiser HD-600's. The Pollinators are very airy and responsive, with great dynamic range. I can't say they're better than the Senn's, but I guess I'd say they're about as good, but different. Where the Senn's are, to me, neutral and easy, these are quick, dynamic, and revealing.

Build quality is where the difference is bigger. The Pollinators I have do not have the fit and finish of the Senn's, but they didn't have the price tag - less than half. They are definitely adequate, though, and have been holding up just fine.
