RE: Hedging a Bet

What he's saying is they don't handle dynamics well, compressing level changes probably of all amounts from mini changes to middle to macro ones. The Falcons(and other LS3/5a's are like a wide band detailed table radio. I have long believed that dynamic linearity(a term Bud Fried used 50 years ago), accurate level changes from small to large is what seperates good speakers from great ones in the sense that speakers with good dynamic linearity come closer to sounding like live sound(at least on good dynamic recordings). And I believe it's the speaker value most ignored in both subjective and objective testing.
