Heard the Mola mola now a few times and Taiko Audio (from Netherlands) and in both cases the sound is clean and fast...and lacking tone and a natural flow to the sound. Bass has little to no texture either. I guess it beats some SS stuff and the poorer tube stuff but it doesn't beat either at the higher levels of performance. As you know, I am not just a tube guy, I am a SET guy so you can take my opinion of ncore from that perspective...it is somewhat dry and sterile based on what I hear live...there is a lot of normal SS that fits that category as well but there is a strange...texture...to the Class D sound that I find more synthetic sounding than other dry sounding SS (like Naim or Linn gear for example).
I hear more or less the same thing with the Devialet gear so there is not an improvement there either.
