Why compromise? Possibly a remote volume control can be retrofitted
to yours. I would contact Bob Backert at RHB Soundezign. He specializes
in mods and repairs to CJ gear. His Backert labs Rhumba's use a custom
taper Alps motorized volume control and his Rhythm's use a TKD motorized.
Possibly he could marry one or the other to your CJ. It can't hurt to
contact him, his work is impeccable and charges are very reasonable IMHO.
