Almarg gave me a detailed explanation of why shouldn't do it at Audiogon. I suspected it was not something I shouldn't try, but I didn't understand why. Now I do.

I buy most of my components used, including Cardas Clear Day cables that are longer than I need. I'll have the cable cut and a banana plug installed at one end of each cable, so it'll be spade at each amp and banana at each speaker, making it easy to switch speaker leads.
