RE: Do you think it is worth the cost to have an Audio Research VS-55 retubed and repaired at the factory?

I have a VS-55 that I highly prize. In the past I've also had a tube go and take out one of the resisters. If you can find a reliable, knowledgeable audio repair shop near where you're located you could save a bundle on shipping costs. You might also consider switching to KT-120's if you're replacing tubes. I did and I prefer them to the 6550's.
