I have had Lirpa's Solid State Tube amps for years. The one where they filled some EL-34's with silicon. Except at Lirpa, they mistook silicone for silicon, and filled the EL-34's with caulk.
Nonetheless, these amps work just as well today as the day they were built. Which is to say, not at all- but they DO therefore have an infinite S/N ratio, and the lowest distortion possible. All for a price of only 400 Quatloos.
