RE: University & 54th

in about 1981 there was a stereo shop near san diego state that sold at the time new production reel to reel tape

they would play the song " ECHOS OF LOVE " as a demo - LOL

I first went into Bruces "stereo unlimited " about 1982 and bought a set of Celestion SL6

I first heard Maggies at Stereo design in the 90s - they sounded like excrement because unknown to me they used the wrong amp - great store but they always had the most expensive path to any sound goal you might have had.

Ironicly the best sound I ever heard in town is when Bruce had apogee speakers or when I went to Briar sound and they played the Brazilian rosewood K-horns .... that was a revelation as most places where pushing the dopey mini monitors
