I've never had luck integrating subwoofers with Quads, though the DWM's sound interesting.
I have found huge impact on Quad bass performance using different amps though.
If you are using the Quad 909 amp listed in your profile, some of the amp mods I've read about improve the bass in particular. Just a thought.
