A timely post for me indeed. I was in the process of choosing between the 3.7i & the 20.7 Life showed up and the home I lease jumped in price and a much nicer home became available so moving was the smart decision. The new home has an existing (was AV) space that would become my dedicated new audio room. 13x17 with 9 foot ceiling. To make a short story long, I decided to wait until I listened to the 1.7s in this space and I am glad I did. They seem to be perfect in every way. IMHO a 12x16 or 13x17 room is ideal for the 1.7s and its probably the right spot between the choice of .7 or 3.7i
As to the other point, I have never found a box of any variety that gives me the same listening experience, Detail, Cohesion, Resolution and full on nirvana feeling that comes with Magnepan. Cheers.
