Re: Quad 2805 problem

If it is not a problem with set-up or the gear here are a few possibilities.

The power supply has gone bad in the speaker. This would result in a loss of output.

The polyswitch(FS2) on the input of the speaker has gone bad. The internal resistance of the switch would be high causing a drop in output.

Or a panel(s) has starting leaking excessively. This would cause excessive drain on the power supply preventing the speaker from reaching a full charge. A drop in output would be the result. Generally there would be noise from the offending panel(s) if excessive panel leakage is the problem.

Good luck with the speaker.
