SAMA for VPI

I'm thinking about replacing the noisey motor on my VPI HW 19II . Although the SAMA outboard motor is a very tempting option, I find its cost a little steep to say the least. I'm wondering if one gets more than a subtle improvement from this investment. Thanks for any thoughts here.

I just got a call from my local (one mile) Merlin dealer. Turns out he's Walker, the guy who invents things. Sounds like he knows things. He says he invented Valid Points and motor mods and all kinds of tweeks. I'll have to check this out. He claims he can improve my VPI stock motor by 25%. That can't be too hard to do. Perhaps this weekend.

Thanks Pete.I'm in no hurry. The current motor has been noisey for a long time , so a few more days won't hurt
