As some of you may recall, I had inquired about purchasing a cartridge for an AR "The Turntable" back on "the other site" a while back. Due to some other purchases that came up, I never got around to picking up a cartridge yet. Here's my dilemma. The AR TT & arm is BRAND new and never been used. I purchased it new in appr. 1984 / 85 as a gift for my father and it sat in the box until very recently. I took it out of the box to check it out and that is it. It has never had a cartridge mounted or spun a disc. Given the fact that i still have a few hundred LP's that should be in excellent shape, should i go with this table and factory arm or sell it and find another table ? Teamed with a decent cartridge ( i was leaning towards a Sumiko BPS)and a Ringmat, will this setup function pretty decently or is there something else out there that is reasonably priced that can easily beat the performance of this combo ? Keep in mind that i already have the TT and arm, but this could be sold to work towards the purchase of something else. Any help appreciated Sean >
