I just bid on a dynaco PAS at e-bay ... and was the highest bidder ! Usually I don't win ...

Anyway, I'm getting a new Project 1.2. I was just wondering how good this PAS phono stage is or is very dependant on the unit ? Anyway, I've to buy it now. If it sounds good might even use it instead of my Passive pre !

So that next stage, I suppose is to hit the salvage army and antique stores for some good old lps. I actually did that and got a few. But how do I tell how good the LPs are ? Just look at number, length and depth of the scratches ?

And is there some way to clean them without buying a m/c for now ?
