Sounds like a pretty obscure group?

One of my all-time favourite bands! They mixed traditional Irish music with a bit of Rock.

I've seen they live twice!!!

I saw Horslips when they opened for Be Bop Deluxe at Winterland in 1978. The Jam were also on the bill, and got no respect at all.

Horslips had just released this album, which got a fair amount of airplay on KSAN at the time. It was about as close to the big time as they came out this way.

Great band, good memories.

I saw them in 1978, too. I also have two of their alums on vinyl. I haven't listen to them since around that time. I might have to revisit them.

Horslips - The Book of Invasions (A Celtic Symphony) is well worth a listen.

I saw the Book of Invasions tour in Houston and they had the joint rocking. A favorite album.
