Just a few shots from my finish table. Soundsmith was hit with COVID and it put a bit of delay on the return of my Denon 103S. Thank god all are doing well, although Peter's recovery is a bit slower than his crew!

Anyway, loving my new table and the OL/Denon combo is to die for!

After a bit of a delay getting my Denon 103S back from Soundsmith "Dark Star" is up and running at full capacity! Enclose are final shots of the deck. A list of components are as follows:

FFYX Magnetic bearing platter
Origin Live Ultra motor system
Origin Live Belt
Audiomods Series IV arm
Origin Live Encounter III arm
Benz Ruby 3 Cartridge
Denon 103S Soundsmith sapphire/line contact cartridge
Maple plinth
Top plate 2 sheets of 5mm carbon and 1" MDF sandwich
Bottom plate 1 sheet of 3mm carbon fiber and 1"MDF
Custom dust cover
Brass, chrome plated footers/carbon fiber filled with sorbothane footers
50mm carbon fiber pads

I put a lot of energy into this build and feel that I really nailed it both sonically and visually. Hopefully this quells my desire for another table for a long, long time.

 Nice looking 'table. Simple yet elegant. I like the balance of the two opposing tonearms. And locating the second 'arm on the side rather than the rear of of the plinth makes sense for using the cueing mechanism.

 That is a truly beautiful table. Could you please comment on the two arms? I assume the OL is the better of the two, since the Audiomods is now a couple of generations behind. But I am very curious to hear your comparisons of the two. Also, I'm curious why you mounted what appears to be the lesser of the two arms in the conventional location. Thanks.

 I am just getting a handle on the OL arm. I have not run my Benz Ruby 3 on it but have used a few variations of Denon's Dl 103. One is a VAS modified, while the present is a Soundsmith modified. The SS modified/Denon sounds absolutely awesome. Frequency response, truth to timbre, and dynamics are spot on. How much is attributed to the arm or the cartridge I won't know until I play with my combinations more. However, for now I am extremely happy!

 But a question about your second arm. Why did you locate it along the left side of the platter rather than across the rear? This appears to be awkward to handle. more so than if positioned to the rear of the platter. But I, never had a table with more than one arm so no experience with that.

 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. It is easier to manage when be used.I did not want to mount the motor up front. Also, the front right has room for a 3rd 12" arm, if I so desire but that had nothing to do with it.

 about your cartridge mounting hardware. What material are the washers made of? Are they generic hardware store stuff or a specialty product?

 Only the Audiomods has a washer. It is an aluminum tight tolerance 5mm spacer.

 I fantasize about designing & building my own TT, but you have outdone yourself. The carbon top plate turns my crank. Same with the woodwork. Beautiful.

 Thank you. I am enjoying this table tremendously. Having two arms has given me more options and proven to also be a helpful tool. My design goals were to have both form and function covered. I believe I accomplished that goal.
