excellent execution on their entire effort. Getting my music in before I fire up the chainsaw and have to put 2 protections in/on the ears. It's terribly loud.

Alan Parsons records ever since high school, up to the Ammonia Avenue LP, to this day. They can be a bit corny at times, but there's something compelling about them, IMO. My favorite vocalists were the "classic" ones, like Eric Woolfson, Lenny Zakatek, and Colin Blumstone, but some of the others were good, also. Would have been interesting to have heard a female vocalist on lead.

A few years back my wife won a radio contest and we got tickets and the opportunity to meet Alan Parsons after the show. The show was awesome and the short meet and greet afterwards was a blast too.

two lovely female vocals, Clare Torry and Lesly Duncan. Have 2 more to spin, Mystery and Imagination & a 45rpm Prime Time will be the finale. It's been too long since I spun 'em.

I picked up a copy of Eve a while back. I remember being devastated when I found out that Claire Torry wasn't a large black woman on DSOTM. My world was shattered...I'll have to give Eve a spin. I didn't even know she was on it. I picked it up because it was cheap and I like APP.

My first of his albums was I Robot. It was being played during intermission at a concert I attended back in the late 80s I think. I had no idea what it was but was so impressed I asked the technician at the mixing board.
Subsequently I purchased it (and many others following that). To this day I cannot replicate the impact of that huge arena sound system. :)

. First encountered him on PF, of course, but started following every album he made.
Although I've picked up remastered re-pressings (like I Robot), I find myself returning to the original LPs. He was such a masterly technician, as well as musician/composer, that I still like listening to the original pressings. Maybe it's just nostalgia?
Most people do not remember his contribution to Abbey Road. One of my favorite composer/engineers from "the day."
