In New York. With the Miles Davis rhythm section. Philly Joe on drums, Paul Chambers on bass.
An "original" Original Jazz Classic circa 1987 I picked up a couple of days ago, still sealed.

The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

I just ordered a copy of that on Monday.

Always liked Chet. A complete mess, but helluva trumpet player.

I had an advance order in with Acoustic Sounds for that record and Chet. They aren't due out until next month.
Once they complete the cancellation, I'll reorder just Chet.
Yeah, you want a textbook example of what heroin does, it's Baker. You could say he was the jazz version of Johnny Thunders except Thunders didn't live as long.

The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

Ah, a classic of the genre, whatever it is. I also have Equinoxe on hand, and it is also on 200g Mofi reissue from the mid 90's.

The serial numbers are worth a pic. 0814 is still sealed as I would often buy duplicates.

Despite the way he treated himself, I don't think Chet ever put out a bad record.
