No, this isn't the original (I wish), but it's a now defunct "Classic records" 200 gram reissue that I picked up early this century along with Lee Morgan's Candy. Does anyone remember this 200 gram series? Does anyone remember what other titles were covered?

Thanks, Tom B.

I don't think I have any of the 200 gram series though.

The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

Miles Kind of Blue, Holliday Lady in Satin, Adderley Somethin' Else, Burrell Blue Lights. Ordred Bud Powell but ended up returning due to off center hole. I thought 200g version was inferior to their 180g reissues?

I see that Analouge Productions sent an email saying they are no longer produce 200g reissues due to a QC and consistency issues.

I don't have the Classic release of Mobley but have a 33rpm Music Matters.

I recall the original in mint was going for 7k on ebay a few years back. ( not sure if it was sold at that tho )
If you like that particular album, check out the Music Matters reissue.( they offer both 45 and 33 but I prefer the latter for this )

I don't have many dupes but Music Matters Something' else (180g) has much better immediacy and dynamics than my stereo copy of Classic reissue.

Is that a Naim arm on your LP12?, posted on October 15, 2020 at 11:20:21

How does it work with the LP12 compared to the Linn Ekos?

I did not get on well with at all with the original Linn EKOS but I am doing ok with the EKOS SE/1. The only reason I changed the arm in the main rig is that I could no longer manual cue. Tho I still use the ARO in my office rig with a Tiger Paw Elevator ( specifically designed for ARO )

EKOS SE tracks better and less coloured than ARO. But gone is a certain feel of an intimacy and fluidity. Great with a complex classical music, tho. It sails through orchestra tutti where ARO lost a composure entirely in the past.

ARO's tracking is iffy at best and very coloured. Yet it's forgiving enough that I can use with almost any cartridges so long as over 5g. Great for jazz and intimate vocals or chamber material. Often accused of not enough bass tho I never felt that way.
