AQUA1 082564616604 - This is the famous 2011 Steve Wilson remix. The upcoming UHQR could be great and the Classic Records 45RPM Red Box Clarity Vinyl reissue (ILPS 9145-45) is certainly also very good. If you want a really good sounding reissue the 2011 S Wilson reissue is the LP to look for. It was around $20 when new and should be available from lots of sellers. The new UHQR is expensive and the Classic Records reissue has a very steep price. I own the Classic Records reissue and will be getting the UHQR. I also own the MoFi reissue. The Classic Records reissue is great but of all the reissues I have I enjoy the 2011 S Wilson reissue the most. The moral of the story is that you do not have to spend lots of money to find the most enjoyable LPs. Ed Life is analog...digital is just samples thereof |

What do you find objectionable about the 2011 S Wilson reissue? The copy that I have is excellent and I have a lot of reissues including the Classic Records 45 RPM Red box, MoFi's reissue, a japanese pressing, a quadraphonic CD-4 pressing, an original US pressing and some more floating around. The Wilson reissue is very enjoyable. It may not be the last word in excellent sound quality but the Aqualung master tape is not exactly an example of great sound.
