Apologies for this not being absolutely vinyl related, but stumbled on this the other day and thought some (most) here might enjoy it.

It is from the vinyl era ...

Sorry. I just figured out the original link was no bueno. Try this one.

Thanks for sharing. Johnny Cash sure is young in that performance. As far as Patsy, she was stolen away far to young, we were cheated.

and Joe Maphis LPs. At least my son has some Patsy Cline records I can borrow. Hard to believe such a great talent was gone by the age of 30. :(

I nave never seen a Larry Collins record, but he could sure play a Mosrite guitar at such a young age. Those Mosrites sure made it easy to press on the strings, but I sold mine to buy a better surfboard.

I'm still slack-jawed that many huge talents appeared on that one show!

Patsy's tragic death was, well, a tragedy. Not sure what else can be said.

We was robbed, and of course her family more than us.

Look for Fire on the Strings, one of Maphis best.

Larry Collins mostly recorded as The Collins Kids with his sister, Lorrie.

Have too many Patsy Cline recordings.. after being told she was Soo good and a trend setter. As if!
Good voice.. certainly.. But Trend setter ? scary thought that.
All about pining over lost or betraying men. A Barefoot and pregnant ethos. Misogynistic is an apt descriptor.
If you have a daughter or grandaughter ?? this is nothing less than Pathetic and Degradi
ng attitudes put to music IMO.

I believe trendsetter was in style, as in her tremendous crossover to the pop audience and she was the first country artist to rid the cowgirl look and wear formal evening wear at shows.

I've both the original and AP reissue. They both sound great. AP actually did a decent job on this.

Damn, I have seen that LP in a Goodwill, and I didn't buy it. Now,, posted on June 3, 2020 at 21:10:12

It seems to be a bit brighter with less bass than Showcase and Sentimentally Yours.
Showcase especially has excellent recorded sound, though I've yet to find a quiet copy. "I Fall To Pieces" is just outstanding, with Patsy clean and clear in the center of the soundstage, the Jordanaires off to her left and behind her...

The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
