Hi, I took this picture 6 years ago when I lived in a 1 room apt. A couple of 4 by 4's and a few rough cut pine planks from a nearby mill are all thats needed.I spent less than 20 bucks and had fun wandering around the saw mill. The beauty of this rack is that you can set it up in a million ways. It's almost like building blocks for kids and is beyond sturdy.
Besides some Heathkit and Dyna stuff and some homemade preamp projects there are 2 objects from another kit company from 70's and 80's.Can you name that company and the objects?....Mark Korda

I see an Ace Audio Zero Distortion preamp - those were available as kits, if I remember. Other than the more obvious Heathkit and Dyna pieces, I'm not sure I see another I recognize...

Hi Jon, good eye and vintage knowledge.Right next to it on the right is a Ace Audio 5000 crossover. You don't see crossovers as much anymore as most sub woofer plate amps have that built in feature. Jon not all that stuff is hooked up but all were in use some way at one time.My ceiling was tall enough for storage space so enter the Caveman Rack. Take care Jon.That was not an easy question. I love the Ace Zero and have a rare black faced one that looks like the worlds greatest brain surgeon wired it. I will get a picture out to show some ones fantastic soldering skills.

A friend had one when they were new. Quite a difference from the Dyna PAT-4 I had at the time. I think the Ace Audio design has held up better over the years (passive versus early transistor) :-)
