I have a couple of these to restore, one of which i will keep for my system, I have read before that the coupling caps should be changed out as that particular brand ceracap are not particularly reliable. Michael, I believe you said otherwise on the ceracaps, correct? At any rate, that is one of the questions (BTW, the main couplers test fine on my cap checker at full voltage) as well as noting that the voltages on the schematic are a bit off all around, unit does work and sounds very good. Thanks

That is correct. I use K40s on the output tubes and drivers and I use 716P orange drops on the other caps.If you want to be more exotic, use the white Solen film and tin foils,

Thanks, Michael, I will look to do that. I am unfamiliar with the film and foil Solens, the white ones, where did you hear about them and where do you buy them?

Mike,

There are a lot of post on the web, where people have put exotic, expensive caps in Scott gear and had bad results. My inclination is to follow your advice, because you have the expireince.
