and the SX-117 both Hallicrafters.The units you see on top are electronic filters and they work extremely well on AM/CW/SSB but I don't use them with these rigs.The one on the bottom is an analog filter and the top one is a digital filter.I bought those a long time ago for my Collins R390a receivers and comparatively,the digital one is a tiny bit more quiet on some bands but the analog MFJ unit sounds more open and real.In other words,it's not as compressed but if you are receiving SSB or CW,it's not a big deal.
