Would it necessarily be contributing more noise as it ages? (Don't even ask the age of my John Risch Asylum power cords)

What's a good replacement, 8 to 12 receptacles, under $500?

If you seek hardcore protection with high build-quality and no complaints about audio performance from non-audiophile end users, you might consider the SurgeX SA-1810.

A little over your budget, but Audio Advisor had Furman 15PF's on sale for a shade over $600. (12 outlets)

You're welcome. Certainly appears to be a good option in your case.

and either not suppress noise or become noisy. It is well known that they age and cannot protect forever.

However, I blew a MOV (and fuse) with too high of an inductive load once and to fix my Power Conditioner I just removed the MOV (and replaced the fuse). I think I was happy that my audio system sounded much better after I removed the MOV device.

Don't hear anything different outta my aged 1000. No increase in noise that I've noticed - 15 years of use. nt, posted on July 4, 2020 at 20:20:41
