Accuphase Tuners - T-100 vs the rest

I have just added to my Accuphase tuner collection, and now have a T-108 to add to my T-101 and T-107. They all sound fantastic, with the T-107 and 108 sounding virtually identical (as you would expect), while the T-101 sounds a little better - less three dimensional, but smoother and very slightly sweeter.

The question I have is whether the T-100 is really any material improvement on the other 3 tuners mentioned above. You would think that 3 Accuphase tuners would be more than enough for anyone, but I just can't get the idea of owning a T-100 out of my head.

Not able to advise, but I'd be having all of them gone over and replace all the tantalum capacitors.

The T-100 is just a magical tuner, capable of allowing you to completely forget that you are listening to a tuner and not a cd or vinyl.

The T-100 is a superlative piece and well worth acquiring at the money.

I also owned 109 and 105 - there was little point in keeping them (to my ears) when put head to head with the T-100 - which was, and remains the Japanese definition of a 'laboratory grade reference tuner' - Accuphase did not take prisoners...

However the T-100 (like any great source) is system/cable sensitive. The same is true (to a greater extent, I believe) with the deceptively natural & musical Marantz 10b. You merely deeply inhale the aroma of magic through a competent system, but in a sympathetic system... oh my... the 10b sings it's heart out and hits the notes like no other, - and then you really are dining out with silver service :-)

cornucleus	Any idea where I could get my T-101 looked at? Low output is the problem. Schematic would be helpful!

Accutech in Gardena, California is an authorized Accuphase service center. They have done excellent work for me in the past. I have a T-101 & T-100 and love them both.
