I can get perfectly fine reception of a low-power repeater signal within the local reception area when listening via the FM radio in my car, and a portable Sony ZS‑X3CP S2 Sports CD Player FM/AM radio in the bathroom. However, within my main audio system, both a Nakamichi ST-7 tuner and a vintage analog NEC tuner I recently bought that I'd hoped would do the trick are a no-go. I can't install an outdoor antenna, and a Godar FM1A does not provide any benefit. Any ideas to help solve the issue? TIA

Can you figure out on the plans of your dwelling the direction of the transmitter concerned.

FM fool will help you with where that is.

If possible. Build a wire rhombic in your loft space, from 300 ohm ribbon. with its axis pointed at the transmitter.

;-)

You could always pin one to your ceiling!

I should have indicated I don't have a loft either. Furthermore, the streaming internet radio feed is terrible, virtually unlistenable.

Did you understand the suggestions I posted?

You haven't answered my queries?

Did you find them difficult to understand?

I'll leave it ALL up to you. Not particularly positive.

Yes, I understood. I had no problem understanding what you said, and I replied accordingly. I don't wish to install an antennae on my ceiling.

I think we've (you've?) exhausted all the options for better reception of that particular station. , posted on December 26, 2019 at 01:42:35

I actually found there are two low-power repeaters with different coverage areas. One of them provides a very clear signal via the use of a simple dipole antenna, the other no reception at all in my listening room. I'm feeling rather fortunate to discover the second repeater signal I previously didn't know about, Tim.

Cheers, Duster
