I always thought were Mullard but didn't look hard at them. I have 9 NOS. Gave one to a friend years ago show put it in a circuit for a GZ34 and fried the tube. To me they look like Miniwatt Dario. What do you think?

Tubes look like a 5V4G.

I looked some more and they look like these, which are GX32. . , posted on February 11, 2023 at 12:12:47

from a tube site. And this seems to match the Dario Miniwatt.

when searching for more information. So yes, 5V4G type.

.... especially when all the markings are rubbed off.

If in doubt assume the valve is a 5V4G and thus lower power. There are fakes about and you can be misled.

it as a GZ32. They all measure extremely good. Both halves being almost exactly the same for current draw and rectifier measurement.

It was awhile ago, but I bought a JAN Philips 5v4g from Charlie of Vacuum Tube Valley (RIP). Evidently it was actually a "mislabeled" 5AR4, not by him, but Philips or whoever stamped the box. Whether intentional or not I don't think anyone ever confirmed. I remember there was some discussion here about it, but I can't seem to find the thread.

I don't use the preamp it was installed in any longer, but when I had it repaired the tech said it was still in perfect condition 10 years after I bought it.
