Do you have his contact number? He built my first custom amp for me. A beautiful VT-52. Do you have his contact information?

That is a terrific looking build! My creations usually have to be hidden. You can put that one right out where it can be seen. Thanks for sharing.

What are you driving with it?

John

That's a beauty!

What brand / colors of paint do you use on the transformers?

for the endbells.

I can't find the mid green in the Netherlans anymore. But I saw something similar in France:

I have never been on Facebook. Thanks though. Really a nice guy. I had a Darling 1626 and that's how I ran across his name. The amp he built was an E40CC > VT-52 with two AZ1 rectifiers and the good James OPTs.

How do you do this? Is it safe to simply remove the bolts and end bells from the transformer?

Yes. The transformer laminates are essentially, posted on April 25, 2022 at 00:22:32

varnished together. No problem remomoving the bolts and endbells.

PS. I always replace (on my better output transformers) the bolts, posted on April 25, 2022 at 03:56:32

with non-magnetic versions. Probably does not matter at all. But while I'm at it. The brass bolts and nuts look better imo.

Compared to my RH-84 it has more and better bass. Better imaging as well.
