Regarding the SONY Walkman WM-D6C Professional Cassette Player Recorder ad. The seller finally responded to me...

He said, the unit runs and rewinds but he doesn't think it can be used properly until it has been serviced by a technician. Is this a red flag or what?... Any opinion on this...

It could be red flag, but also could be his honest statement, you have no way of knowing. He probably feels something is not right.

And I also think that he's been honest with me that the unit has gone over the edge of the money pit. That's why I'm keeping my beating heart to stay still.

Thanks for the help...

My sister's godmother had one of those thingies back in the '80s to record laments from old women here in Crete's villages, back in the 80s. It was for her thesis in musicology. She's been forever in Zurich (since the early '80s). She's now married with a Swiss guy. Her name is Agnes.
