hello
I am thinking that maybe automotive ceramic wax / sealer might quiet
the squeal on the stationary pins on my reel to reel....comments?
I was just playing a 50 year old plus tape that startd to squeal, I moved the tensioner a bit and the squeal stopped.
So a good cleaning, polishing then apply the ceramic coating.
Has anyone else tried this?
comments please!

Sounds like maybe the tape you're playing has lost lubricant. I just use silicon on the guides when it's minor. Usually does the trick.
