That's an excellent recording, my godmother has it on record (she's german) and a bit not bradly well known compared to the Vivaldi's 4 seasons!I think I made her a cd from that record to play in the car.

Ampex-duplicated, Twin-Pak, with good sonics. I believe these were recorded in 1955 or 1956, using a portable Ampex 300 running at 25 ips (60 cycle machine using 50 cycle current.) Two more popular selections - the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, and the Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor - were released in 1956 on Westminster Sonotape 2-track reel SWB-8001. SWB-8001 was used for years at the AR listening rooms to demonstrate the low-end response of their speaker systems.
