Oh, a bench on it's side with some nice planters.

In this case..., I've to agree with her. I myself have never bought into the concept of WAF, as I pride myself of being old school in a manner I tend to buy whatever I want, seeming as it's my money, I never would imagine having to get my wife's approval on anything, especially since my taste in home decor is much much better than hers | besides I'm the one willing to spend $6.000 on an Italian leather sofa, or $2.700 on a nice LG Oled TV, if I left said purchases to her, we'd have some old ass 1960 Art Deco sofa, and a television with knobs on it, and rabbit ear antenna.

Maybe it's me?, but this crap about men needing permission to buy stuff, seems rather overly passive to me, no wonder a lot of these new marriages don't last a year or two, and know that my wife and I celebrate our 43rd anniversary on December 15th, seems togetherness is more about one's willingness to compromise above all else, old fashion I might be, but I still love seeing my wife in dresses, versus pants.

I can't image any wife or girlfriend (let alone children or pets) being impressed by the trip-hazard junk on the floor, though the speakers are OK aesthetically. If that's a window behind the unattractive banner, I guess they'd not like that either.

Suggest the owner of this room calls it his personal man cave and provides the rest of the household a nice living room with acceptable furnishings

Does your wife meet you at the door when you get home from work with your slippers and your pipe and ask you how rough the day was at the office was and if she could make you a Manhattan before dinner as she has slaved all day in the kitchen? Just saying....If so, Mr, your a better man than I! LOL.

Are you considering a purchase?

Yes, the speakers may be acceptable though I wonder how they sound compared with for example, Avantgarde Duo XDs or Mezzo XD. The sensitivity is poor for a horn at 96dB and I guess this is largely because the only driver with a "proper" horn (did it start life as a salad bowl?) is the midrange one. The tweeter has no horn and the 15" bass driver isn't either There's no bass amp to support the driver so this may contribute to the low sensitivity. The AGs are around 107 dB so can be powered by low output tube amps if this preferred to a beefy ss amp or the sort of monsters in the floor!

Go for it - you get a whole pair for $60K ;-)

Seeming as how she | I are both retired now, but yes she was sweet or thoughtful enough to do just that. Much like some of us are fortunate enough to know how to select our gear, our wife's are in truth handpicked as well.

Logically that's why so many of them aren't married, if you think about this for a moment, maybe it'll all sink in?, or not?, neither of which concerns me, but you're correct, I'm a better man than that. But I'm just not the type that needs approval on what I buy is my point.

I'd should add since the beginning of our marriage in 1979, I was the one doing all the house cleaning | I'm talking washing walls | vacuuming and shampooing the carpet | cleaning the tub | hanging blinds and so on, all my wife had to do was cook, even our children's only chores were to take the garbage to the curd, in truth the only thing I was trying to get at is so many cats bringing up the WAF, or which never will or shall be excepted in our shared space, I know guys that spend their hard earned funds like $4.000 on a pair of speakers, and turn around as if afraid of their wives and said they cost $400, which to me remains a bunch of BS!, man the fuck up is my point.

Sounds like one person is doing all the compromising, though.

I take it back. Didn't read all your posts.
