for a while now ... It is A/S design. Just wish that it was a little smaller in size. The Albany II looks to be what I need, but it is ported...

They have had someone promising to design and build a new modular loudspeaker that will go down to 24Hz in-room from two sealed modular cabinets of 1 cu.ft. each, with a 10-inch woofer in each, and a module of similar size for midrange and tweeter. But that has dragged on forever and they really want a solution they can implement, because they have been waiting so long it is embarrassing.

I am from Missouri, by the way and so to speak, on the claim of 24Hz in-room from a sealed 1 cu.ft. box x 2.

Skeptical, I mean.

One of my closest friends, for more than 20 years, owned Jeff Rowland's hot-rodded by JR himself Duntech 2001s, which were more than74 in. high and 34 in. deep and were 14 inches wide (IIRC), and their spec was -2dB and 27Hz from two 12-inch woofers and two 7-inch woofer mids.

Those loudspeakers were later bought by Steely Dan mastering engineer Scot Hull (not the audio journalist of the same name).

do they quote how far down the 24 Hz is? Perhaps 10 dB as I've seen sometimes. If it was 10 dB down then the box resonance could easily be in the mid 40s(I believe the old AR3 was 40 Hz). And 10 dB down at 24 hz is barely anything at normal loudness.
