I've begun using a KEF KC62 to augment a pair of LS50s, low passed at 45, high passed at 70. It sits on the floor between the LS50s. I've been so impressed, I bought another, so one will sit at the foot of each LS50 stand. Even the single KC62 makes the setup sound larger, with more detail and much more LF extension. It's a 10" high tech cube with DSP that looks like a smaller LS50 and can reproduce the more felt-than-heard pedal notes experienced at a live pipe organ recital!

Yup! Pretty amazing what that little cube puts out. And you have two of them! Now you'll have to spring for the LS50 Metas.

gives me pause considering the subwoofer marketplace.

While the dual-opposed 6.5" driver enables a small box which I'm sure many customers enjoy, for the same $1500, one could get something like Rhythmic G22, 12" dual-opposed, direct-servo subwoofer.

I've got dual 12" Rythmik Servo Subs and I really like them. They blend perfectly with my Thiel CS3.7 speakers and they sound awesome.

One Rythmic sealed 15 here. It is not small or particularly stylish.

In my main setup I use a pair of Velodyne HGS-15 with SMS-1 bass manager to augment a pair of KEF Reference 1, with a Marchand passive high-pass filter. I have 3 HGS-15s, 3 HGS-10s, and will have 2 KC62s.
