Speaker rebuild

I have a pair of Speakerlab DAS3's. They are 25-35 years and I am looking to rebuild them, but there are a few things I'm not sure about on the crossovers.

There are two wire wound resistors. They both say 3ohms at 5%, but one is slightly larger than the other and both have different part numbers. Should I even bother replacing them? Do wirewound resistors change in value over time.

There are 5 capacitors. Three are gray. All are 100v and then 4.7uf, 6.8uf, and 15uf. These seem pretty straight forward, but there are two yellow capacitors both marked as follows....

0.A.(THe zero might be a D)
04-1005
.47-100

I'm guessing .47uf at 100v, but what do the rest of the numbers mean.

Thanks for any information that anyone has about this.

You're probably correct on the Cap Values.... But if you have a Digital Multimeter, you can check the values.

Not sure about the other numbers, but they could be dates... The Important numbers are micro Fareds and Voltage rating.

You can always put an Ohm meter across them and see if they measure close to the stated resistance. The larger one probably has a higher wattage rating, and is in a position in the circuit where it gets more power.

The power resistors should be fine if not cracked or discolored.

The grey caps sound like electrolytics, the yellow are Mylar.

.47 @ 100V sounds right. Any other numbers are not important.

Thanks for all of the info.I finished the speaker rebuild yesterday. They sound fresher and more "alive" with the new parts installed.
