The seller refers to them as "subwoofers" and apparently they are custom-fitted to a steel stand intended to have a monitor on top. It's an idea I'd been considering for my next DIY project.

I thought I'd ask before I drive out to East Cupcake to see them!

Please tell me your listening room walls aren't covered in egg cartons...

Junk? Whoa! You gotta envision! I work in a shop that fabricates and repairs fine art, mostly sculptural objects and interesting prototype items. We have a drive-in laminar-downflow paint booth. I can see these with the wood refinished (appears to be walnut veneer) and a nice black crinkle on the steel... My room is a big loft which is in charge of the Bearette so nix on paintings on velvet of dogs playing poker, nailed over acoustic foam.

My first guess would be Nelson Reed 1204, but could be WAY off, posted on June 15, 2017 at 07:48:53

I think what oldmkvi is trying to say is if you are going the route of stereo subs or stacked system - these "ain't" the way to do it.

You have a very classic and refined looking system and setup. That path will only end up in endless tweaking with no real end in sight. Been there!!!

As for art I'm a big fan and have an extensive collection.

Nice system. I couldn't live without my velvet painting of dogs playing poker, though.

Looks like a Kinergetics subwoofer system, two 10 inch woofers per side, sealed system. Used with Spica 50 speakers or other small monitors on top of shot filled stands.

Should come with integrated crossover and amp unit. Can and should be used with separate amp into crossover.
