My system
Marantz MA-9s2 mono blocks.
Marantz SC-7S2 preamp.
Sonus Faber Extremas.
Kenwood KT 917 tuner from the late 70s
I just got 2 Rel G1 Subs which use a really good 12 inch Carbon Fiber woofer in each sub. The Rel G1 subs blend in really nicely to the Extremas.
I'll post pics of the new subs this week.

 Wow, that's a NICE system!

What are the digital units on top and below?

YEARS ago I heard that system but with different speakers. I was quite impressed with it's sound. It did everything and still maintained a sense of warmth and detail. Very musical.

I believe Marantz discontinued their preamps just as I was going to buy one - Damn!!!!

 Great googilly moogilly, DanWilson! That is one of the sweetest set-ups I've ever seen. Man, would I love to hear that Marantz gear. Well done, sir.

 Nice rig, Dan. I strongly considered those MA-9s, but my speakers didn't require that much juice, so I went with something smaller, but they definitely linger in the back of my mind! They're a complete amplifier--they do everything really, really well.

Question: You're quad-amping with the 9s? I see four of them in your picture. Are the Extremas a particularly brutal load?

I will second, REL subwoofer(s), the best in the business.
