I saw them on ebay. Interesting attempt (successful?) at omnipolar tweeter perhaps?

Looks like a DIY design. Philips mids and tweeters.

JBL Studio Monitor 4344 or 4350?

If you aren't quite noticing or accepting what is really going on in the present,
but are responding based on your thoughts or feelings about what ought to be,
then you are apt to collide with what is really going on.

I said what I did mostly tongue in cheek.

After performing a reverse image search, that's what popped up. I think
it would be fair to say that anyone who might have called them that was
not well-versed in JBL originals!

One of the few, if not only, paper dome mids made. I've got
a pair, probably a very good mid. Have not used mine as yet.

They remove unwanted noises from the house as when your wife yells to take out the garbage, but you're still having a listening session.

A music loving friend advised not to marry that special girl.

"One evening you will be listening to a quiet movement of a late Beethoven quartet and she will remind you to take out the garbage."

Well I did, and she didn't.

It was the quiet movement of the Archduke Trio.

Whatever you do, don't tell them where the good docter is located!

Oh, and if the Doctor shows up with his tardis, help him put them in it, so he can take them away!

- Definitely my kind of crowd.

Doctor Who made me an instant fan when I spent a year in Wales growing up on John Pertwee and Tom Baker. I use the current series in my English lessons to Hong Kong kids - most of them love it.

Which T-Shirt did you get Jonesy? I am so pleased to go into stores in Canada and see several and HMV was selling all sort of memorabilia. Doctor Who Monopoly and Yahtzee!

I went to a Star Trek Convention in Vegas a few years back and picked up some autographed pictures and a great metalic Dalek https://www.scrapsculptures.com/Hand_made_Wall_E_sculpture_p/dalek8.htm

A nerd with a bad memory I am. A bunch of T-Shirts were back-ordered for my son and my birthdays. HE got the Dr. Who one. No wonder I couldn't find it when I went to look! It has David Tennant looking at Matt Smith on it. The T-shirts I got included a Batman's Joker, Pan's Labyrinth, and an awesome scene of characters from Alice in Wonderland spread out as puzzle pieces to form a Cheshire cat.

HMV is a great store, but sadly all stores closing across Canada by end of April I think... :(

Both our son's are married. My granddaughter has a plush Dalek. And between all our families, LEGO sets of Star Wars and Dr Who sets abound. There's a built 3 ft long LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer sitting atop my vinyl collection. We don't have that much Star Trek around, other than a made out of metal original Enterprise in a box somewhere. I'm a big fan of all the incarnations from Shatner to Chris Pine.

I've never been to any conventions, but I lot of people I know have. The autographed photo's and memorabilia you have are awesome! It's so interesting that you use Dr. Who for English lessons.

Cheers!

Jonesy

Edit... Son has both Dr Who Monopoly and Yahtzee. My AA moniker is the ever surviving cat from the Alien movies.
