Hi all,

I found this website - with UK contact details:

https://www.convertedintosound.com/

They've got a Dartzeel pre-amp for sale that I'm interested in at a very good price - payment by bank transfer only - so I contacted them and got the serial number.

Sending the serial number over to Dartzeel resulted in a message from Mr. Deletraz replying that that particular pre-amp was not for sale (they had contacted the original owner) and that the advert was obviously a scam.

Looking at the convertedintosound website - they list their AA username "convertedintosound" - http://www.audioasylumtrader.com/ca/feedback.html?reviewed=76843.

Looks like a number of high-value items have been sold by them - but all to AA members who had registered within a 2 week period and none of whom had made any actual posts.

I contacted convertedintosound - who obviously haven't replied...

Seems to me to be a scam.

I confirm that this company is fraudulent and I should know. It has no stock, only downloaded photos of equipment from advertisements online, and Photoshop to produce verification photographs. If you send a wire transfer to purchase one of these zombie products, they send back word that their banking data is faulty and that you will automatically get your money back; then the deal can proceed with the correct data. Of course the money never arrives back in your account but the scammer has bought time to move the money to another account out of reach by the bank or the police. The victim is then left with holes in his audio rack and bank account, and a bruised butt from kicking himself. The worst thing is that the website is still scamming wherever it may be.
