My beef is with LG customer service.
Nearly a month ago, i called them to document an issue with my 65" C7 OLED TV.I was getting halo or ghost lights in the background while using AppleTV. They asked me to submit photos and proof of purchase receipt, which i did.
The agent said someone would call me back that day to troubleshoot the issue. No one did. I called the next day and spoke with another agent who said "Jamal" would call me back in 5-7 days with a resolution. Never received a call.

The third time i called, LG setup an appt. with a local LG service center to come to the house, No one showed up or called. When i called the number, it just goes to voicemail.

Finally, i sent LG an email to complain. They responded that they would look meticulously at the photos and get back to me, although they said it would take some time.
It's been over a week, and so far, no response. Perhaps LG is just too big for themselves.
My tv is still under warranty. Maybe because i didn't purchase their extended warranty, they are giving me the finger.
It's inexusable in these times, with all the competition for the consumer dollar, LG would not support the customer post- purchase.

OK, rant over!

So? What's new?
I have an in expensive Skil Chopsaw. I built ONE project with it, a BBQ box and several other small things. If I made more than 400 cuts, I'd be WAY surprised.

Switch has apparently failed. Aftermarket people can't get the part. Skil? Mostly indifferent but DO have the part for 10$, with shipping unknown but probably $$$.

Some of the places I've called to LOOK for the part leave me on hold until I go away.

I hope my 65" B6 doesnt' crap out. One day I'll relate what I went thru with my Sony SXRD, a high -end set which ended up with a bunch of Class Action lawsuits (sony lost 'em ALL) as well as the unending hate of quite a number of customers who will never trust those hacks again.
Too much is never enough

I can't return it. In fact I can't do anything. This all started in the middle of September with a call to LG customer service explaining my issue. As of today, no resolution. Lots of promises from LG customer service to help resolve the issue but that's as far as it goes. It's all talk but no action. Twice they set up appointments for an LG customer service rep to come out to the house and look at the TV and twice no one showed up.
They're probably hoping I disappear and not bother them again. What a joke ,$2000 for a TV and I can't even get any customer service while it's under warranty.'
The funny thing is I received a letter from LG today recommending that I buy an extended warranty since my one-year warranty is almost up!
I mailed it back with all the price options icrossed out and wrote them a letter telling them that it's an insult to me to suggest I buy an extended warranty when they won't even take care of my TV while it's under warranty.

I've made several calls and talked to different reps regarding my TV issue .They supposedly contacted my local LG authorized service center twice but no one ever came over to look at my TV.

LG OLED was to be my next TV purchase. Now, not so sure.

Wendell,
I finally got a call from the authorized service center in my area. They received an authorization from LG to look at my tv, but the service tech said it was cancelled due to an overload of calls at their center. He apologized and said they were simply too busy, but a new ticket would be generated and another center would be notified.
Anyway, after talking to him for a few minutes, he believes my issue is not with the TV, but with the Apple TV since my problem does not show on any cable stations.Subsequently, i read the halos i see on Apple TV prior to watching a show is normal as others on another forum mentioned as well.
So i think you're ok with buying an LG. But if an issue arises, don't expect a quick resolution.

I was warned about LG's poor customer service by a friend years ago. If you plug in "LG poor customer service" into Google, you get 54,500,000 hits. I would never consider buying anything they sell.

Never have cared for LG products. My experience TVs and washer/dryers. Great marketing hype, substandard design, and poor customer service.
