Made a deal with these guys, and it was a pack of lies from the start. after getting beyond that, they screw up. Then try and hold me accountable. They find out they can not and now they have filed a fraudulent claim through paypal. Watch yourself if you plan to deal here. I am sure they have had good deals but when things go wrong for them (even when it is there screw up) they will try anything honest or not to get what they consider whole again. Dirty pool

Purchased a Parasound JC-2 preamp from them, not terribly long ago.

When I received it, it looked even better than it did in their photos, sounded awesome, and had all original boxing & contents carefully packed within another outer box.

Are you the individual that filed the Better Business Bureau complaint against this company?

Not sure if the OP was the filer. Hence the question. Here are the links. More direct links did not seem to work.

I just tried it.

Using Google Chrome, If you highlight it, Right-click, Then click "GO to https://.... "

Sorry for any inconvenience.

If you do a search for Better Business Bureau Music Room it should come up. If it becomes too much work it's no fun.

and actually they sold an item for close to nothing because they were ignorant about it. It arrived perfectly packed and in great shape. But I understand that shit happens and there is always a risk doing business online.

Same here. TMR was easy to work with and have great used products that I have purchased. Looking at the BBB site, seems the issue with the customer and TMR has been resolved.

I am looking local to TMR so I have less risk. I made a deal last year on my Plinius amp and picked it up in person and all went smoothly. I chatted for a few with a guy there and he seemed nice, but anyone can have a bad experience.

The OP never responded as to whether he was the BBB complainant; He probably was. This was the only complaint filed in several years.

Further, the OP was vague and conclusory, with no specifics; only barbs.

The BBB complaint narrative was detailed and specific, and was somewhat inconsistent with the OP.

Having read the complaint and the company's response, I'll side with the company. Sounds like stuff got damaged because the complainant didn't know how to pack.

I bought 2 pieces from them last Summer, both looked brand new and the prices were certainly right. The amp came triple boxed (who does that nowadays?), and cd player was double boxed. Both pieces looked and performed flawlessly. They will definitely get more of my business.

Reading is fundamental, TMR filed a fraudulent paypal claim stating not as described while having all 5 items posted on there web site for sale. They mistakenly shipped out other items and they were using paypal in an attempt to get a back door payment for those mistakenly shipped item. That is called fraud.

I filed the 2nd complaint, and oddly enough the first complaint was almost a carbon copy of mine. My complaint had nothing to do with goods delivered or sold. It had to do with TMR committing fraud in an attempt to gain money for a completely unrelated issue. The complaint was closed by BBB because no agreement could be reached.

I have bought and sold several pieces and never a problem. In fact, they went out of their way to accommodate me a couple of times.

For instance, components that people bought after gullibly reading The Absolute Sound. But once in a while, there's prolly something there worth buying.

I think it's not a scammer.
