Also sells on Audio circle under user name vintage9594 purchased a preamp off me thru Audiogon and left positive feedback. noticed he placed an ad on Audiogon and Audio Circle for the unit I sold him stating selling because he had the chance to purchase a Macintosh Integrated he always wanted locally. The scumbag text me stating the unit was damaged. I text him back and told him I saw he placed an ad on Audiogon and Audio Circle stating he was selling it because he had a chance to purchase a Mac locally and he then immediately cancelled the ads. Then the scumbag files a complaint with Paypal stating I sold him a damaged unit. I sent Paypals Resolution center copies of the positive feedback he had left me and also printed copy a the ad he placed on Audio Circle and told them I had contacted Audiogon for a copy of the ad he had placed on there site. paypal 48 hours later decides in his favor freezes my money and tells the scumbag to ship the unit back to me and they will refund his money back. needless to say once he gets his money back I will cancel my paypal account.

What is the similarity between Audiogon and Citizens United?
They are both into the business of filthy transactions.

You can take Paypal to small claims court. Many have, Paypal rarely wins.

I along with 8 dutch bidders were scammed by an Audiogon seller years ago. Both Audiogon and Paypal washed their hands while a thief (who was notorious for prior scams on Audigon) made off with $100.00

We all ordered a Denon DL-160 at $100 each and the guy sent us a photocopy of the spec sheet in an envelope.

No cartridge, no refund, no help, Audio GONE!!!!

I am that user and this seller passed this off as good condition preamp as I am sure it was until he wrapped it in bubble wrap and had the plastic from the wrap have a chemical reaction with the finish on his preamp…I complained to him he told me to pound sand so listed it for sale and pulled it down as I didn't want to pass it on to someone else in its condition. I went to a local shop both electronic repair and also paint shop and both confirmed that it was indeed the bubble wrap that was int he finish of the preamp….it doesn't matter a bit if I wanted to buy a Mac integrated or not….the seller screwed up the finish and thats why I got a refund! I have 100% feedback on Ebay and near 100% on A-gon, 1 a 100% on this forum, a 100% on US Audiomart and !00% on Audiocircle!

Did you return his item though? And wouldn't it be best if people actually provided proof with these ultimately he said she said situations???
